Don't kid yourself people. This dog is not a hall of fame candidate nor did he run in a hall of fame venue.

While I agree that Nolan's Last Bullet belongs in the ABC HoF, he does not belong in the BFTHOF. While he made his mark in the venue that his owner chose for him he did not make his mark in classic field trials which is what the BFTHOF is about.
ABC HoF yes, BFTHOF absolutely not!

I offer my support for Buddy a dog with his accomplishments is clearly a fantastic represenative of the breed and worthy of recognition. His induction would be a statement of progression in a battle for solidarity in keeping the Brittany and its field purpose comprehensive around the country and across venues.

Although I didn't see Buddy much in competition, I have hunted over and watched his offspring in trials, and they are big running bird finders. His contribution to the Brittany breed, as a sire, is notable and I support his election into the BFTHOF. BTW, I am a Pointer man myself and never owned a Brittany until I hunted behind Buddy's sons, now I have two.

Although I am not a Brittany fan, I prefer Pointers and Setters, I have a great deal of respect for Buddy and his prodgeny. I competed against Buddy, and am still competing against his offspring, in both weekend and national trials. They are always tough to beat, sometimes to the point of dominating a trial. Add my name to support Nolan's Last Bullet for the BFTHOF.
PS: For Mr. Powell and Mr. Hogan to add negative comments to the "support nomination" page was a TRULY classless act.

Buddy's record as a field trial dog, and as a sire, speaks for itself. His lineage are winning in every venue where they compete, including horseback trials! I support Nolan's Last Bullet.

I trialled Nolan's Last Bullet, call name, Buddy, in the finals of the Quail Unlimited Championship Dog Trial in 2004. As I recall this was an invitational championship trial with 128 dogs entered from all pointing breeds. Nolan Huffman had the final 2 dogs in the final championship round, all 126 of the other dogs defeated. Nolan handled Bull (son of Buddy) and he asked me to handle Buddy. The champion final was a 1 hour stake, 10 quail planted. Bull found 5, Buddy found 7. Buddy won the championship. Bull, Buddy's son, took runner up honors.
Stories of Buddy are too numerous to count. Buddy won them all. Beat them all and then went bird hunting with Nolan. We bred to Buddy 15 times. That dog changed my life. I will always thank Buddy and Nolan for being the foundation of my breeding program. And for all the friends I have made all over the country by selling "Buddy" puppies. When your puppy advertisement said "sire: Nolan's Last Bullet" you sold out your pups. We still have a female that is a daughter of Buddy. She is a wonderful family and bird dog. And throws wonderful pups. The "Buddy" name is still magic in a puppy advertisement! BiebelBrittanys.

I support Nolan's Last Bullet for the BFTHOF. Regardless of what the feeling for NSTRA in comparison to AKC or AF events are, the fact that for his entire career he competed and won consistently against a field of longtails and compiled the record he did is amazing. His production record also fits into the category of being amazing. He did the Brittany breed proud.

I feel that Buddie deserves to be the Brittany Hall of Fame. His contribution to our breed is well established. He has many progeny competing in trials at this time and his own record speaks for itself. I support Nolan's Last Bullet for the Brittany Hall of Fame.
