I would like to add my support for Tom Fife, Hall of Fame. He was an icon of Kansas field trialing for years. He also had an impact on the national scene as noted in your nomination email. Tom was always ready to help out, whether he knew you or not.

I would like to nominate Tom Fife for induction into the Brittany Field Trial Hall of Fame.
Tom was a charter member of the Southern Kansas Brittany Club that started in the late 50's. During the following years, Tom held various positions in the bird dog world, both local and national. He ran some national caliber dogs, both Brittany and pointers and has and/or helped finish several field champions. He has judged numerous pointing dog stakes including the National Brittany Amateur.
Tom was a hard working club member that could be counted on to do what had to be done, whether it was paperwork or "grunt" work. He always had a kind word for the people around him and entertained everyone with stories about his most recent dog training episode or perhaps of his problem horse named "Spook". Tom was instrumental in bringing me as well as others into the Brittany world. He was always available to help and give advice to us when our dogs(and us) were having problems. On occasion he would take our dogs into his kennel and work on a problem while asking nothing in return.
It has been of great pleasure to travel with Tom as well as hunt and scout his dogs. It was always special to place at a trial and be rewarded with a cherry pie cooked by Claudia, Tom's wife.
A true gentleman married to a gracious lady and who I owe a lot.

I have known Tom Fife for 30 years of field trailing. During that time Tom has been a gentleman, a worker for field trials, a great competitor and a friend. It is my honor to nominate Tom Fife for the Hall of Fame.

Tom switched over to pointers shortly after i got involve in field trials. I remember that he was considered an icon and in addition to having good dogs he helped a lot of people with their dogs . i do believe he should be in the bhof as he was one of the earlier promoters of field trials in addition to the many other things he did to promote the sport.
