Nomination of Mary Karbiner By Bernie Crain
It is with great pride that I put forth the name of Mary Karbiner for election to the Brittany Field Trial Hall of Fame.
To classify Mary as an “old timer” would not do her justice for she is as active today as she has been for the many years that I’ve known her.
Owner, breeder, participant, judge, indefatigable helper at any job that needs to be done pertaining to field trials.
She is the reporter for several Championships including the National Championship, the ABC Statistician, and current Midwest Region Director.
She has been one of the driving forces for the US Open, Chicken Championship, and many Texas and Oklahoma trials.
No job is too big or too small, from counting ballots at the Nationals to helping with the setup at the new wing of Hall of Fame, Mary has been a positive driving force for field trials.
I ask all to join me in giving “MarKar” a well deserved honor.

I support Mary Karbiner for the BFTHF. Mary has proven what it is to be a worthy nominee. She has supported the sport of field trialing both locally and nationally. She has been one of the driving forces of the US Open, judged numerous trials and championships, reported many Championships and Nationals over the years (Brittanys and various other breeds). She is also very involved with the Brittany Field Trial Hall of Fame as a contributor. Please join us in adding your support for May Karbiner.

Mary is one of the hardest working members of the American Brittany Club. She judges, scouts, reports, runs field trials and has always been ready to say yes to any job. She's even been known to show a dog or two. Please lend your support to Mary.

I must add a personal story to my support for Mary's nomination. In 2002 Mary was the reporter, as she has often been, at the US Open and when Shadow was picked up at the completion of the first brace of the second series her gentle wink and nod was reassuring.... and prophetic.

I would like to support for my mom for the BFTHOF. Brittany's have been in our family since I was about 7, they started out as most people do as the family pet/hunting dog. Then my family discovered field trials and shows...then my mom discovered her passion. This passion has seen my mother through many life events, some good, some not so good, some down right terrible. She has always made time for whatever committee, club or event that needs assistance. While sometimes mom has been called "out spoken" (I to have been accused of this, I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree) She has worked to maintain the standards (ethical and moral) for both the breed and the clubs. This has not always made her popular. The hall of fame should not be a popularity contest. It is a place for people to be recognized for their contributions to the breed of Brittany's and the sport field trials. My mom is a champion of the breed and sport.

We have known Mary for about 30 years, and there could be no one more deserving for induction into the BFTHOF. She has been, and continues to be, a tireless worker for the Brittany Field Trial Community. Please add our support to her nomination. Dave and Joyce Lincoln

Stan & I both support the nomination of Mary for the BFTHO. Mary can always be counted on to step in and help where ever she is needed. She has dedicated her life to the Brittany. That would be two votes from us.

I support Mary's nomination to the BFTHF. She has been a tireless force in the Brittany community who gives back continuely to support where and when she can. Whether at a FT or behind the scenes at another event. Mary gives and presents the can do attitude and spirit that helps make the ABC a first class organization.
